I had the luxury of sitting down with an artist who showed me some color and shading techniques which i practiced in this update. i like the results and will probably become faster as i progress so hopefully the next update will not take me so long to post. but even if it does, the wait its worth it.

Took much longer than i wanted, but were back. the new scanner allows me to draw them by hand and scan in then edit on my computer instead of just drawing it in the computer, it's just a little faster, and the quality is better.  hopefully it will prove to have been worth the wait.

Okay, so now my computer is down, and I don't want to put the programs i use to draw the comic on the one im borrowing because

i'm getting closer to my goal of posting weekly.  i'm getting to where i can draw Velorak on the first try. (though him stooped over the "drinking fountain" in the last strip was kinda tricky...) this strip took about two and a half hours to draw. and half an hour to post. which is a new best.  i've also kept a version of this strip to practice shading on. if i like what i get you can expect it to become an extras section.

Those of you who are following this, might be intersted to know that this strip was drawn at double scale then shrunk to it's current size. i was hoping it would make the drawing easier and faster. which it did. however i got stuck halfway through so it still took me almost to weeks to post.  sorry.

    that makes 4 up. this one didn't take long to draw, but i sat down and wrote up some plot notes and put some of my other thoughts in order on paper, which took a while. so things should start to move along now that, that's done.
